The Indie Travel Challenge week 5 prompt was, “If you’ve never been to Asia, tell us about your dream trip in the region. Would you rather find your own paradise among the Thai Islands, or shop for crazy Harajuku fashion in Japan? Are the uncrowded temples of Burma calling you, or are you dreaming of a visit to China’s Great Wall?”

Landscape – Tibet Spring

As landscapes go, this is one of my favorite shots of all time. I love the layers of color and lush lime green of new spring growth. I took this shot on my way to the airport in Lhasa, Tibet. What is really interesting, and of course you cannot tell from this shot is, that on my way into the city one week before, this mountain was covered in snow and sand. The trees were bare.
